Rattlers Swept By Foresters

June 28th, 2008, Santa Barbara, CA - The SLO Rattlers (15-8, 8-7 CCL) suffered a road CCL series sweep at the hands of the defendingNBC World Champions, the Santa Barbara Foresters (15-5, 7-2). The final score was 6-2.
However, for the first 6 innings, it was an old-fashioned pitchers duel between Rattlers Starting Pitcher Joey Parsons, and the Foresters AJ Griffin. Both pitchers worked 6 strong innings, allowed only 3 hits each, and Parsons had 7 strikeouts to Griffin's 8 strikeouts.
The Foresters were able to get to Richie Mirowski (4-1) in the bottom of the 7th inning, scoring 5 runs.
The Rattlers were able to put two runs on the board in the top of the 8th.Inning.
Offensively, Josh Jackson went 2 for 4, with 1 2B, and 1 RBI.
The Rattlers next play Tuesday June 30th, 2009 at Allan Hancock College against the Santa Maria Pilots. Game time is 4:30pm.
