Rattlers Drop Game One Against Foresters

June 26th, 2009, Santa Barbara, CA - The SLO Rattlers (15-6, 8-5 CCL) faced the 2008 NBC World Champion Santa Barbara Foresters (13-5, 5-2 CCL) today for the first of six games between the two teams this summer.
The Foresters dominated the game, winning 13-2.
Santa Barbara native, and Cal Poly Mustang, Mason Radeke (0-1) started the game for the Rattlers. Fellow Mustang Justin Leonard (1-0) started for the Foresters.
Radeke pitched 5 innings, allowing 5 hits, two earned runs, and one strikeout.
It was a close game until the 6th inning, when the Foresters bats erupted against the Rattlers bullpen, scoring 9 runs total in the 6th and 7th innings.
The Rattlers avoided the shutout by scoring a two runs in the top of the 9th inning.
Offensively, RF Jake Domingos went 3 for 4.
The same two teams play tomorrow in Santa Barbara. Game time is 5:00pm.
