Rattlers Overcome 2-1 Deficit With 4 Runs In 8th Inning, Top Packers 5-2

June 23rd, 2009, San Luis Obispo, CA - The SLO Rattlers (13-5, 6-4 CCL) defeated the Santa Maria Valley Packers (8-9, 3-7) in a CCL contest Tuesday Evening.

The Rattlers trailed 2-1 going into the bottom of the 8th inning, but were able to strike for 4 runs in the bottom of the 8th to secure the victory.

Tommy Erlin (1-0) got the win, facing only one batter in the top of the 8th,

Adam Clerici pitched a scoreless 9th to earn his 4th save of the summer.

Offensively, C Josh Jackson went 2 for 4, with 3 RBI's, and 1 run scored.

SS Mike Miller was 2 for 3, and scored 2 runs.

The same two teams play again Wednesday Night, June 24th. Game time is 7:30pm.
