June 16th, 2009, Santa Maria, CA - The SLO Rattlers (9-3, 4-2 CCL) blanked the Santa Maria Pilots (2-10) today at Allan Hancock College.Starting pitcher Richie Mirowski (2-0) took a no hitter into the 6th inning before allowing an infield single. Mirowski pitched 7 innings, allowing 2 hits, and striking out 5. Danny Price and Adam Clerici pitched an inning each to complete the shutout.
Offensively, the Rattlers accumulated 21 hits against the Pilots. 1B Joe Weik went 4-6,with 1 RBI, and 3 runs scored. SS Mike Miller went 4-5 with 3 RBI's, 2 runs scored, and a BB.
The same two teams play again Wednesday night at Allan Hancock College. Game time is 4:30pm.
