November 14,2008 - The 2009 NBC Midwest Regional will be held at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium with the Champion receiving a berth in the 75th Annual NBC World Series. The regional will begin on Friday, July 17th and run through July 23rd. The NBC will accept the first twelve teams to pay their entry fee and will consist of a double-elimination bracket.In 2008, the Park City Rangers won the Championship in a rain-shortened championship game. Both the Rangers and the Junction City Generals, who was the Runner-up, received berths in the World Series. August 23,2008 - Fignting for the chance just to make the trip to the NBC World Series, Beatrice turned to a young 18 year old pitcher fresh from American Legion Ball. In a must win game, Joba Chamberlain threw a complete game, 3-hitter to tave off elimination for another night.
