August 1st, 2009, San Luis Obispo, CA  -  The SLO Rattlers (26-19) lost to the SLO Blues (40-11) Saturday night at Sinsheimer Stadium.

However, in the top of the 9th inning, with the Rattlers rallying to take the lead 6-4, and runners still on base, the Blues management postponed the game to set off their fireworks display.  Play was resumed 25 minutes later.  What's more important??  Fireworks or baseball?? 

After play resumed, the Rattlers completed the top of the 9th inning.  LHP Danny Price (3-3) entered the game, having warmed up prior to the fireworks show, and couldn't find the strike zone, walking 5 batters before allowing the game winning hit.

Offensively, SS Robert Vickers was 3 for 5, with 1RBI, and 1 run scored.

2B Bobby Buckner was 2 for 5, with 1RBI, and 1 runs scored.

Both teams conclude their seasons tomorrow at 1:05pm at Sinsheimer Stadium.
